Carol Night Permission
Slips
*Please join us in singing the following
Christmas Carols!
O Come, All Ye Faithful
O come, all ye faithful, Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem,
Come and behold Him born the King of angels;
O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him,
O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
Sing, choirs of angels, Sing in exultation,
Sing, all ye citizens of heav’n above:
Glory to God in the highest;
O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him,
O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
Joy to the World
Joy to the World, the Lord is come,
Let earth receive her King.
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And heav’n and nature sing,
And heav’n and nature sing,
And heav’n and heav’n and nature sing.
He rules the world with truth and Grace,
And makes the nations prove.
The Glory of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders of His love.
Silent Night
Silent night, Holy night,
All is calm, all is bright,
Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child,>
Holy infant so tender and mild.
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night, Holy night,
Son of God loves pure light,
Radiant beams from Thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth,
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.
Dear Families of ICS,
The following information should help with any questions you may
have concerning upcoming events. Please read carefully as it pertains
to your child.
Sing-cerely,

(Music teacher)
• Carol Night-Wed., Dec. 12th at 7pm in the Church (Students
should get dressed up for the occasion wearing their appropriate holiday
best).
• 3rd and 4th grade students should be practicing recorders
at home each day.
• Please sing these three traditional Christmas Carols
(2 verses each) with your children; O Come All Ye Faithful, Joy to the
World and Silent Night. We’ll be asking you all to sing along with us,
too, so it’s good practice for everyone! Suggestions: You could use them
as a prayer before or after dinner or before bedtime during prayers. The
words are posted on the IC website under Arts & Music link to Choral
Music.
• Christmas Concert-Wed. Dec. 19th at 7 pm in the Church
Hall (Students should wear black on the bottom and white on top…appropriate
lengths please. God’s Voice students are encouraged to bring accessories
that show the holiday spirit…i.e.…red or green belts, sweaters, vests,
jackets, hair ties and perhaps Christmas ties for boys. These items may
be put on when God’s Voice performs.
• God’s Voice- We need extra rehearsals. All rehearsals
will be held at ICS in my classroom. Please plan accordingly. Here is
the schedule:
(Sunday, Dec. 2nd from 11:30-12:30pm and Monday, Dec. 10th from 3-4:30pm-
We’ll have snack first. Bring water bottles.)
• 8th Grade-Students will be signing up for auditions for their January
classroom project. This year’s production of “SNOW…SORTA…WHITE” is a comedy
with some pivotal musical moments. As this is a classroom project,
everyone in 8th grade will be in the play. There are 25 roles
both large and small (all important) and 25 students to match the characters.
Students must sign up on their own. Auditions (just 5 minutes each), will
be held at these times: Monday, Dec. 3rd from 12:25-1:05 (7) / Tuesday,
Dec. 4th during recess time at 10:15-10:30 (3)/ Wednesday, Dec.5th from
12:25-1:00 (6), Thursday, Dec. 6th from 12:25-1:05 (7), Friday, Dec. 7th
from 10:15-10:30 (2). *Anyone unable to make one of these dates will simply
be given a part.
PS. I need to borrow 25 bar stools. If anyone can share, please
let me know. We won’t need them until mid-January
